Yesterday I made a solo trip to Yosemite National Park. Yosemite is the subject of many of Ansel Adams’ most famous images, and like thousands (if not millions) before me, I tried my hand at photographing some of the famous scenery there.

Here are the images. Note that they may look screwy because the screen on my laptop is about as suitable for image editing as an Etch-a-Sketch – the colors are all wrong, the brightness is too high so things look washed out, and the LCD matrix is all bruised from being taken to the war. (I’m still using the same laptop I used in Iraq, amazingly enough. It’s 4 years old this month!) When I get home, I’ll give these images the proper treatment, but for now, this’ll have to do.

  1. Great pictures. They reminded me that I still have to go back and explore Yosemite. One trip is never enough!

  2. Gorgeous
